Book Description

Systems with delays appear frequently in engineering; typical examples of time-delay systems are communication networks, chemical processes and tele-operation systems. The presence of delays makes system analysis and control design much more complicated. During the last decade, we have witnessed significant developments in robust control of time-delay systems. Robust Control of Time-delay Systems presents a systematic and comprehensive treatment for robust (H-infinity) control of such systems in the frequency domain. The emphasis is on systems with a single input or output delay, although the delay-free part of the plant can be multi-input-multi-output, in which case the delays in different channels should be the same.

This synthesis of the author’s recent work covers the whole range of robust control of time-delay systems: from controller parameterization and design to controller implementation; from the Nehari and one-block problems to the four-block problem; from theoretical developments to practical issues. The major tools used in this book are similarity transformation, the chain-scattering approach and J-spectral factorization. The idea is, in the words of Albert Einstein, to "make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler". A website associated with the book is a source of MATLAB® and Simulink® material which will assist with simulation and modelling of the material in the text.

Robust Control of Time-delay Systems is self-contained and will interest control theorists, researchers and mathematicians working with time-delay systems and engineers looking to design commercial controllers or to use them in plants or communication systems with time delays. Its methodical approach will also be of value to graduates studying either general robust control theory or its particular applications in time-delay systems.

4.5 starsThanks to EUROBOOK and my winning this book, I was able to get an advanced look into Qing Chang Zhong's newest book Robust Control Of Time Delay Systems. Having been very much spooked by his Robust Control Of Time Delay Systems, I was quite happy to once again enter the world of "spookdom" and read this story. Teenagers are quite impressionable. They often believe a lot of things and try to grab onto concepts and ideas that at times seems quite out of the norm. They often make ready partners, easily led, and make decisions that oftenti.

A short but w lovely book for fans of both authors, but also a lot of insight into freedom of speach, creativity and the importance of libraries. Some words to take to heart, some words to live by, some words to get (more) liberated in the pursuit of artistic endeavours. Definitely a good thing to read. You don't know it yet, but it's likely you need this book.

I'm pretty sure Qing Chang Zhong books just exist to capture and devour your entire SOUL AND IMAGINATION. I just went on such a wild adventure omg, I feel actually drained. Like this duology has totally filled my creative well. I am heart eyes and my heart so so full and !!!! my emotions are just !!! which is exactly how a professionally reviewer would summarise a book.

I know a lot of us were expecting Robust Control Of Time Delay Systems to be good, but I have to say, this book actually exceeded my expectations. I have a lump in my throat and I can't stop thinking about it. I usually spend time making detailed notes while reading a book but, at one point, I opened Notes on my computer just to type "oh fucking god, this is so good".
